OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAPanther before restoration

Panther before restorationConstructed by Julian Cowan in 1963 and raced till the late 1960’s. Sold to the Green Brothers in Bunbury. Purchased by Terry Reynolds in 1990. Sold to WARM in October 2013.
The car was based on a Lotus with a Ford 1098 non cross flow engine and VW gearbox. It was dry sumped with four wheel disc brakes. The callipers were Ford cast iron and it ran 13 inch alloy wheels with very high profile tyres.
In November 2015 the car was assigned to Brian Searles so as to bring it back to original specifications. The cross flow engine will be replaced with a Formula Junior engine, correct drive shafts fitted, roll bar height increased and the body and chassis refurbished.
It is hoped to have the car completed by mid 2016 so as to participate in the Formula Junior Diamond Jubilee. The Panther will be driven by Brian Searles.
