Mk 9 Chassis number TR-2 Date of manufacture March 1967 – Formula 2
In 2010, Neil McCrudden acquired the Alexis Mk9 from Tony Archer. Tony who is now in his 80′s bought the car whilst on a holiday in the United Kingdom. Tony imported the car into Australia and completed a significant portion of the restoration before selling the car. The standard of the preperation is a credit to Tony’s love for the car and his technical skills. It is hoped that Tony will continue his involvement with the car and have the occassional drive.
The responsibility for the car has now passed to Colin McKee who will be the driver of the car. Colin has had over 50 years experience in motor sport starting as a competitor in the 1960 New Zealand Grand Prix. In the late 1960′s Colin moved to the UK where he became a professional representing Scotland. In more recent times, Colin has raced the McEntee formula Junior in New Zealand and Australia as well as the Lotus in F2 trim at Wanneroo.
